Quaint
I loved the lighting in this room in the old house my relatives have in Eastern Oregon. They had several rooms ready and waiting for guests at any time. The room is peaceful but has a certain character of yesteryear. It's been a long time since I've seen a rocking chair sitting beside a lonesome window. Perhaps it's a rural thing. Perhaps it's a gesture of relaxation from years ago and there only because of the generation from which my relatives came. Either way, I found it all to be very charming in its simplicity.
Near Wallowa, OR. September 2008.
